SUMMARY:Introducing the CSRI Health Data Utility Capability Model
DESCRIPTION:Developed by CSRI with input from external stakeholders and Civitas\, the Health Data Utility (HDU) Capability Model is a new approach for characterizing and assessing the maturity level of HDUs across the country to support the advancement of interoperability and health data exchange to promote improvements in health and healthcare. \nThe HDU Capability model provides a practical\, stakeholder-driven approach that describes both the core capabilities of HDUs and those required to deliver value and services to the stakeholders they serve\, including providers\, public and private sector payers\, public health agencies\, researchers\, and patients. \nIn this webinar\, learn about the HDU Capability Model\, the 160+ capabilities identified within the Model\, scoring methodology to assess an HDU’s performance\, and how the Model offers emerging HDUs and HIEs pursuing HDU status both a roadmap and standardized ways to communicate the value and alignment of their data services with the needs of key stakeholders. \nSpeakers include: \nJohn Kansky\, President & Chief Executive Officer\, Indiana Health Information Exchange \nJ. Marc Overhage\, M.D.\, Ph.D.\, Principal\, The Overhage Group and Professor\, The Fairbanks School of Public Health \nJolie Ritzo\, MPH\, Interim CEO\, Civitas Networks for Health

SUMMARY:A Pragmatic Glidepath for Digitizing Goal-Directed Care and Person-Centered Outcomes\, presented by EMI Advisors
DESCRIPTION:This webinar offers a focused look at how FHIR®-based technologies are being used right now to address these challenges. Through real-world implementation examples\, we’ll explore how HL7® FHIR® Implementation Guides (IGs)—including the MCC eCare Plan IG\, the eLTSS IG\, and the Person-Centered Outcomes (PCO) IG—can help organizations digitize care planning and enable person-centered care coordination. These tools not only support regulatory alignment and quality improvement but also offer a strong operational and strategic value proposition. FHIR is extensible\, built on modern internet protocols\, and designed for real-time\, scalable exchange. \n\nBuilding with FHIR-based IGs positions organizations to:\nModernize legacy systems and reduce duplication\nBetter engage patients and caregivers\nBuild AI-ready data infrastructure\nParticipate in national programs like HEDIS\, MIPS\, and HCBS quality initiatives\n\nWith Care Plan now recognized as a core data class and data element in USCDI v6\, this session will equip Regional and State-level Health Information Exchange (HIEs)\, Health Data Utilities (HDUs)\, Community Information Exchanges (CIEs)\, and Community Care Hubs (CCHs)\, and providers to lead the next phase of digital health transformation by turning vision into implementation. \nLearning Objectives: \n\nUnderstand how HL7® FHIR® can be applied to digitize person-centered\, goal-directed care and person-centered outcomes reporting.\nDescribe the policy\, programs\, and business value of adopting FHIR-based infrastructure.\nLearn from real-world examples of how organizations are modernizing data exchange to improve outcomes and prepare for an AI-enabled health data ecosystem.\n\nSpeakers: \n\nEvelyn Gallego\, CEO and Founder\, EMI Advisors\nDaniela Lawton\, Director – Chronic Conditions\, NCQA\nDave Carlson\, Co-Founder\, Mountain Lotus WellBeing

SUMMARY:CSRI HDU Capability Model - Listening Session #1
DESCRIPTION:Join Civitas Networks for Health® (Civitas) and the Consortium for State and Regional Interoperability (CSRI) for a series of two listening sessions focused on the recently published Health Data Utility (HDU) Capability Model\, developed by CSRI. As a follow up to a recent webinar hosted by Civitas and CSRI that introduced the model\, these sessions offer an opportunity for interested members and stakeholders to ask questions and share perspectives and feedback on the model’s approach to help shape its ongoing refinement. The HDU Capability Model is a stakeholder-driven framework that evaluates the capability and maturity of HDUs providing health data and analytics services across the U.S. It describes what an HDU can reliably deliver at scale\, using a weighted scoring approach that moves beyond simple maturity levels\, offering a clear view of current capabilities and priorities. \nThe model is currently open for public comment now through December 12\, 2025. We invite you to review the model at thecsri.org and join the listening sessions to help inform your comments or to provide your feedback in real-time. You can also submit your feedback by emailing hdu@civitasforhealth.org.
