Thank you to all who joined us for an insightful webinar from Civitas Member InterSystems on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. ET led by Kirk Grothe, Head of Government, and Greg James, Senior Advisor, Public Sector HHS. This discussion centered around consent and interoperability, designed for HIEs, CIEs, and public sector entities.

The ability to share patient-client data between providers and programs is essential to providing comprehensive services, community supports, and care across the continuum, including tackling the complex challenges that come with addressing social drivers of health. To enable this data sharing, we need mechanisms to gather, track, and manage individual’s data-sharing consent, and robust interoperability to ensure data has context, so that it is reliable, actionable, and understood.

Thank you to all who joined us on Thursday, August 22, for an insightful webinar led by Mike O'Neill, CEO of MedicaSoft and the HIMSS NYS Senior Advisor, IT Task Force with guest presenter, Jan Lee, CEO of Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN). Mike delved into the critical need for seamless aggregation of clinical and claims data in Medicaid enterprise systems using true FHIR standards. Dr. Lee addressed why these integrations and aggregations are invaluable to exchanges today. This session highlighted the importance of interoperability and the technical protocols necessary to meet the CMS Interoperability and Patient Access Final Rule.
