During this month's meeting, we shared network updates, member highlights, and discussed important member benefits information. Our spotlight presentation featured an expert panel discussion focused on policies and governance of AI applications in health IT and health care. We discussed important ways that Civitas members can support the appropriate use of AI and assist stakeholders with adoption.

Thank you to all who joined us on Thursday, August 22, for an insightful webinar led by Mike O'Neill, CEO of MedicaSoft and the HIMSS NYS Senior Advisor, IT Task Force with guest presenter, Jan Lee, CEO of Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN). Mike delved into the critical need for seamless aggregation of clinical and claims data in Medicaid enterprise systems using true FHIR standards. Dr. Lee addressed why these integrations and aggregations are invaluable to exchanges today. This session highlighted the importance of interoperability and the technical protocols necessary to meet the CMS Interoperability and Patient Access Final Rule.

Thanks for joining our recent webinar with 4medica and San Diego Health Connect. The meeting materials, including presentation slides and meeting recording, are now available for download. These materials provide a deeper dive into the data journey discussed—from 9-1-1 emergencies to hospital care—and showcase the impact of reliable data on San Diego's health care.

During our third and final session of our Political Determinants of Health Member Roundtable series, we focused on Medicaid partnerships. We led with a brief overview of Medicaid funding pathways and then more specifically examined partnerships between Health Impact Ohio and Ohio Medicaid and West Virginia Health Information Network and West Virgina Medicaid.
