Exploring the Future of Population Health Data at National Academies Workshop

A forthcoming workshop from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will examine how emerging technologies—particularly AI and machine learning—are transforming the collection, sharing, and use of population health data. Set for June 25, this one-day event will bring together experts across public health, healthcare, and community sectors to explore how cross-sector data and community expertise can better inform action and improve health outcomes.
Discussions will focus on evolving data sources, new methods for integrating and analyzing data, and the critical role of communities in shaping equitable, trustworthy data ecosystems. The workshop will also address key issues such as data ownership, privacy, and strategies for making data more accessible and actionable.
