Highlights from August

This month, we explored some big topics shaping health care and health data nationwide:

• The CMS Interoperability Framework: We discussed its potential impact on Civitas members and are closely watching how it may shape our Network. To learn more or explore ways to engage, we encourage members to review the resources available on CMS’ Health Tech Ecosystem page.
• CQMC Summary Highlights: Sara Hallvik, VP of Data Solutions at Comagine Health, provided insights into the latest work of the Core Quality Measures Collaborative. As a member of Civitas, Sara represents us in the Collaborative and then brings important information back to the broader Civitas membership. If you are interested, be sure to review the information linked above.
• Spotlight Partnership Presentation: Our platinum sponsor, InterSystems, shared about their work and why they are committed to sponsoring the Civitas 2025 Annual Conference. We are grateful for their continued partnership.
• New Ethical AI Policy: Civitas has released an Ethical AI Use Policy to guide responsible use of artificial intelligence across our work and support members navigating this evolving space. Please take time to review the policy in the Member Area. We will be following what is outlined.
• 2025 Member Satisfaction Survey: Due October 3, 2025 – take the survey here. We encourage all team members meaningfully engaged with Civitas to complete the 5–7 minute survey — and don’t forget, completing it enters you into our prize drawing! Most importantly, your feedback helps us to improve our offering.
• New and Improved Member Area: After receiving feedback from Civitas members, we have improved the Member Area. Check out all of the new functionality!

Conference Updates

With just weeks to go until Anaheim:

• Registration numbers are climbing — register today to secure your spot.
• Community Excellence Awards nominations are due by August 29 (next week!) Don’t miss the chance to celebrate the incredible work happening in our community.
